Tip! There are two main ways to edit surveyors:

  • Editing several surveys at once (bulk )

  • Editing just one survey at a time (individual )

1. Once you’re logged in, click on the Housing module from the dashboard. At the top of the page, click Surveys.

2. You will now see two sections:

  • Ongoing Surveys (Not started and In Progress) - these are surveys that are still active or being worked on.

  • Completed Surveys - these are surveys that have already been finished and cannot be changed.

3. Using "Filters". Before you start editing, it may help to narrow down what you’re looking at at the top of the surveys page.

4. You can filter surveys by:

  • Status (e.g., Not Started, In Progress)

  • Created Days (when the survey was entered into the system)

  • Assigned Surveyor (the person currently assigned)

5. Once you select your filters, the green Show Surveys button will refresh the list and show the number of surveys that match your selection.

Tip! Editing Surveys in Bulk. Bulk editing is the fastest method when you know that many surveys should all go to the same surveyor.

6. In the survey list, click the small checkbox next to Asset on the top of the asset list. This will automatically select all surveys in the list.

7. Look at the bottom of the screen and you will see:

  • How many surveys you selected

  • A button that says Edit Surveyor

Click on "Edit Surveyor"

8. A new pop-up window will appear, showing a drop-down list of all surveyors. Click the drop-down arrow and choose the surveyor you want.

9. Once you’ve made your choice, click Save. The changes will now apply to every survey you selected.

Tip! Editing an individual survey. Sometimes, you may only want to update one survey. There are two ways to do this:

10. Method 1 - Using the Checkbox

  • Find the survey in the list.

  • Tick the checkbox next to the asset.

  • At the bottom, click Edit Surveyor.

11. Select the surveyor you wish to assign.

12. Click "Save" to reassign that survey to the selected surveyor

13. Method 2 : Using the Action Menu

Go to the survey you want to change. On the right-hand side, at the very end of the row, click the three dots (...)

14. A small menu will appear, select Edit Surveyor.

15. The Edit Surveyor window will open. Choose a new surveyor from the drop-down list.

16. Click Save to complete it

Tip: - Always check before saving, make sure you’ve chosen the right surveyor, especially when bulk editing.

  • You can’t edit surveyors on completed surveys – once they are finished, they remain locked for record-keeping.

  • If you’re unsure , don’t worry. You can always cancel before saving, and the survey will remain unchanged.

17. Resetting Filters Before Searching Again. Each time you want to run a new search, make sure to click the Reset Filters button first. This clears any previous selections and ensures your new filter shows the correct data.
